Exterior Window Film Makes Fort Worth Hotels Look Newer & More Attractive to Investors

Exterior Window Film for Fort Worth Hotel
This particular property was the Crown Plaza hotel in downtown Dallas. The property was not in poor condition when it was bought, but it was clear to the owners that it could stand some upgrades. Standing from outside the hotel, it was easy to see that the windows needed some work. They had become discolored over the years and looked old and unclean.
And, since the windows were comprised of untreated single pane glass, they were also very easy to see into. During the daytime, when standing outside the building, one could see a multitude of rooms with the blinds only half open, as well as a number of rooms with the blinds completely shut or open all the way. This gave the exterior of the building a very uneven, inconsistent look.
When the owners of the hotel told us about their concerns, we immediately recommended exterior film. The exterior film would give the glass a reflective look, so it would be an easy way to resolve the aesthetic issues with the hotel. Additionally, exterior film is one of the easiest types of film to install for high rise buildings and has great energy saving benefits too.
After the owners decided to proceed with the project, we then approached the task of installing the film. To do so, we created a custom mount to attach to the roof of the hotel that would allow us to use a window washing lift. The windows were cleaned and the film was carefully installed. We also replaced the old worn down seals of the windows with new ones to protect the glass from moisture.
In the end, the owners were extremely satisfied with the results. Their hotel looked beautiful with the newly installed film, which was bound to be a great selling point for both their current customers and future investors. And they had saved a ton of money on the renovations by opting for film instead of window replacement.
